Assistance to Elderly

Comments:

A CA organization will assist elderly (65 years old or older) individuals by providing them with personal and home care assistance. The organization will provide support to approximately 20 elderly and disabled individuals each month. A group of volunteers will assist with the program activities’ execution. The organization will help the elderly and disabled individuals in their day to day lives and also will help them with their social interaction. The program is free of charge.


Antique Vehicles Exhibition

Comments:

Organization will educate individuals on the history of antique buggies, cars and other vehicles.  The organization will convert a facility into a museum of antique vehicles, ranging in age from the 1860s to the 1900s. Everybody is welcome to come and learn the history of the vehicles, e.g. the use of the vehicles in the past and their evolution. The organization will have upward of 70 vehicles that individuals can come, see and understand.


Youth Center

Comments:

The organization is dedicated to providing educational services for kids through fun, play, science and interaction. The Texas organization will operate a center where youth will be able to obtain tutoring and mentoring services, play games and interact with peers, explore the world and have fun. Once a month, the organization will have open doors for free to promote its activities. The Board of Directors expects the Youth Center to be visited by approximately 1000 kids on a monthly basis, ages 4-12.


Disabled Kids Therapy

Comments:

The organization’s mission is to combine a love for horses and knowledge of several therapeutic techniques to help disabled children of Dallas County and surrounding areas of Texas. Equine-facilitated therapy treats anxiety, makes the body of the disabled kids move, and improves the communication skills and many others. Therapeutic riding will be offered for kids, ages 7 to 17, both individually and in small groups once a week.


Payee Services

Comments:

The organization will provide payee services to the elderly and disabled by helping the elderly pay their bills on time. No fees will be charged. Approximately 100 elderly individuals will benefit from the Program. The organization will use volunteers to assist with the program. The President of the organization will lead this program and it will take place in Virginia.


Special Education Program

Comments:

The Organization is dedicated to providing understanding, respect, support and excellent education for parents with children with unique learning needs in the community of Short Hills, NJ. The organization will provide welcoming environment for the parents to share and discuss their concerns. The special educational services will be provided for free and the organization will respond to the parents’ needs on a first come, first serve basis; nobody will be turned away. Once in three months the organization will organize regular parent-to-parent discussion groups that will be lead by community volunteers.  The parents of children with challenges will be given the opportunity to share their problems and seek support in each other.


Artistic Workshops

A Texas organization is inspired by community’s growing interest on experiencing visual arts and developing artistic talents. The corporation will educate the youth and adults on how to apply different techniques and to improve their artistic talents by organizing monthly workshops.  The participants will be also given the chance to create art in an environment with other professional artists and display their art.


Homeless Shelter Program

Comments:

Program will provide temporary shelter for the homeless of Jackson, GA and its surrounding areas. These individuals usually are in need of food, clean clothes, shower and a place to sleep. The organization’s main goal is to provide these individuals with a place to stay; the beds will be given to individuals on first come first served basis. The organization will also offer resource services, such as computers, job search assistance, transportation, etc. 


Marine Educational Program

Comments:

The purpose of the organization is to provide scientific research that is directly applied to the conservation of large threatened marine species. The organization will support the sustainable development and promote initiatives that educate the public about at-risk species. During the year, the organization will conduct several research studies on the marine megafauna to discover new marine species in Mozambique, Africa. The results of the research will be then provided to the public.


Nutrition Program

Comments:

The organization will provide after-school program for kids and educate them on healthy eating. Program will target the kids that reside in Tucson, AZ.  The goal of the Program is to discuss with the kids the importance of healthy eating and drinking, how to prepare foods and drinks and ways of improving eating habits. The program will be executed three times a week for an hour and the kids will participate for free.


Scholarship Program

The organization will provide academic scholarships to middle school students who aspire to attend an institution of higher education and gain high school experience. These students must meet the organization’s standards: high performing students that come from low-income families. The organization will focus its search for applicants on middle schools in Suffolk County, MA. The program will be lead by the President with significant input from the entire Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will conduct interviews with middle school students, teachers, school counselors and parents.


Health Care Program

The organization is devoted to providing valuable information to the elderly and infirm, and their families, residing in Pennsylvania. The organization will inform and educate the elderly and infirm, and their families about the advancement and improvement of the overall quality of clinical care, as well as possible healthcare providers. The vast majority of the information will be available online on the organization’s website.  The information will be also provided to patients directly (verbally and in print) to the places they receive healthcare assistance and to the families as they need it: at hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and home, etc.


Evangelistic Ministry

Comments:

Program will focus on spreading the teaching of the Christian Bible and message. The organization will hold Christian ministries and Bible studies in various Christian churches and at revivals. Any individual is welcome to come and join in studying and teaching the Bible and its beliefs. This Tennessee organization will especially focus on teaching Christianity to immigrants who are new to the US.  Some of the Christian teachings will be in South Asian, Indian and / Or Middle Eastern languages.


Youth “Drive” Program

Throughout the year the organization will receive various donations from local residents of Bexar County, TX, depending on the season. During school year the organization will have a “school drive” – it will provide clothes, books, sports’ equipment and school supplies to the children whose parents can’t afford buying books and other items necessary for schools. During Christmas time the organization will have “Christmas dinner drive” activities. The Board of Directors and local volunteers will be delivering food for Christmas to needy kids and families.

Once a year, the organization will also provide bicycles to less-fortunate kids.


Inspirational Services

The organization is dedicated to inspire and motivate the kids on how to handle hardships in their lives and convert each negative situation into a positive one. The focus is on kids attending middle and high schools in Clayton and Fulton Counties, GA. The Board of Directors of the organization will work with these kids 3 days a week, applying an interactive approach. The organization will provide motivational speeches, mentoring services and promote peer to peer mentoring among the kids, ages 14-18 ages.


Daily Adult Center

An organization in South Carolina will provide educational services to young adults, who aspire higher education. The organization will focus on adults who struggle with academics, such as math, writing and/or reading.  The skills the adults will acquire will give them the confidence they need to pursue higher educational goals and encourage them to prioritize their children’s education.  The adults will be divided into small groups, depending on their educational needs.


Health and Nutrition Program

The organization will provide information to the public about prevention, intervention and elimination of nutrition-related health problems and how to apply healthy life choices and active lifestyle. The organization plans on executing workshops on a regular basis in Sangamon County, IL. The participants in the workshops will not be only provided with educational resources, but also will have the chance to take part in interactive discussions and cooking demonstrations.


Cleaning Program For Schools

An organization is dedicated to improving the level of cleanliness and appearance at all the schools district wide. The Board of Directors will develop a specific model of cleaning to the Schools’ administration and employees to remove or reduce bacteria and viruses in the schools. 

At first, the organization will concentrate on K-12 school environment. The services will be directly provided to the school districts and approximately 15-20 schools will take advantage of the organization’s services each month.


Cheerleading Program

Comments:

A Tennessee organization will encourage physical exercise and good citizenship for boys and girls, ages 14-17. Activities will include instruction and practice in cheerleading. The organization will provide uniforms, equipment and other supplies to the cheerleading team. The practices will take place 3 times per week. The organization will also pay the league fees for competitions and meets.


Supporting the Homeless

Comments:

Once a month, an organization will provide clothes, medical supplies and free canned food to approximately 100 homeless and less-fortunate individuals in Broward County, FL. During the holidays, the homeless individuals will be also provided with baskets for Thanksgiving, Easter and Christmas.
