Cultural Exchange Program

Comments:

Historical, traditional and cultural aspects of Israel will be provided to the elderly community of Thousand Oaks, CA. Organization is focused on educating individuals who are 50 years of age and older. Organization will make mission trips to Israel each year.  Participants will be invited to join the mission trips and visit sites, which will help the individuals’ education on the religious and historical aspects of Israel.  Individuals will visit such places as the Western Wall, the Old City of Jerusalem, etc. 

 


Long Road Home Project

Comments:

The purpose of the organization is to educate veterans on overcoming mental, physical and emotional hardships upon dis-enrollment in armed forced services.  The organization wants to assist these individuals in overcoming any type of injuries that they may have incurred while serving in the armed forces and to overcome such issues as post-traumatic stress disorder. The organization will provide this valuable assistance to veterans through a cross country bicycle ride, starting from the state of Washington (Aberdeen) to the Washington DC. The bicycle ride will be filmed and later on provided to the veterans.


Comfort Through Food

Comments:

Organization will pick up free meals, prepared by the local residents of Austin, Texas and deliver them to kids, suffering from leukemia or other form of cancer, during their treatment in the local hospitals. The organization's Board of Directors want to bring the joy to kids’ faces and make them feel more comfortable. Another activity of the organization will be to develop a Webpage, which reminds of Craigslist, connecting possible donors with less fortunate individuals, who are in need. The Libbie’s List webpage will be of great support to individuals who have specific needs and to others, who want to donate.


After-School Youth Mentoring

Comments:

An organization, situated in Houston, TX will assist youths in after-school education. Program will target youth students ages 6-18.  The organization will educate the youths on how to succeed within the diverse society and become good citizens. Any student can join the program for free. Activities will be conducted on a ranch in a farm setting where the kids will be able to interact with animals, including horses, cows, goats, etc.

 


Housing for Youths

Comments:

A Georgia not for profit organization will provide transitional housing for youths ages 19 - 22, who were previously in foster homes.  These individuals are no longer eligible to be part of the foster care system after the age of 18 and they are often homeless, not educated and do not have life skills.  The organization’s main purpose is to provide these individuals with a place to stay; food and basic necessities, as well as transitional services including but not limited to counseling, life skills, computer skills and job search training.


Heroes in the Real World Docum

The organization will produce documentaries, which will bring to the screen the true stories of exceptional people who have dedicated their sustained time, effort, and money to humanitarian efforts around the world. The organization will focus on remote areas of South Africa, Mexico, Haiti, etc. where a lot of humanitarian organizations are providing support and dedicating their efforts to making better the life of local individuals.

 


Youth Tutoring and Mentoring

Comments:

The organization will provide tutoring services to students (8 - 17 years old) who fell behind in their school work. Some of the tutoring subjects will be: Math, Reading, Economics and Science. The North Las Vegas’ company will also invite in speakers from the community that can bring positive impact on children’s lives and increase their self-esteem.







Summer Skateboard Program

Comments:

The program will encourage physical exercise and good citizenship for boys and girls, ages 14-19. Activities will take place in Los Angeles County, CA and will include instruction and practice in skateboarding that get kids active, encouraging physical fitness and self-discipline. 


Armachiho Immigrants’ Support

Comments:

The organization will support people, coming to Georgia from Armachiho area, Ethiopia. Most often, when immigrants come to the US, they do not have information, family and often do not speak English. The organization’s aim is to provide Armachiho immigrants with lots of information and to make their transition to US and adoption of the new language, culture and traditions as easy as possible.   


Therapy Through Animals

Comments:

The Board of Directors with support of 20 volunteers and their pets will visit hospitals and nursing homes in Wesley Chapel, FL, establishing a connection between the animals and individuals, who are suffering from Alzheimer, Autism and other physical and mental disabilities. By touching, petting and grooming the animals, the individuals will have the chance to improve their medical conditions and bring a positive effect on their lives.


Feeding the Homeless

Comments:

Our organization is dedicated to providing food to those individuals, who live in  extreme poverty and cannot allow buying basic items. Our purpose is to make their life better and comfortable. The food will be distributed to homeless shelters, parks and other places in Washington, DC. The Board of Directors will also visit homeless shelters and transitional houses, especially for women, in Upper Marlboro, MD to provide the less-fortunate women with food and items of first necessity.


Re-Entry Program for Ex-Offend

Comments:

An organization in Mississippi will educate non-violence offenders and individuals with non-felony charges on computer and nursing classes, CDL driving license, etc. The ex-offenders will participate in the program for free. The purpose is to integrate these individuals in the society by increasing their self-esteem and job related skills.


Life Skills For Adulthood

Comments:

The organization will provide support to kids, aging out form the foster system. The board members of the nonprofit organization will work with these kids 5 days a week, applying different and interactive approach. Some of the workshops that the organization will provide will be: SuccessTalk, SuccessDress, SuccessCoach and InnerSuccess.


Orthodox Community Support

Comments:

An online bookstore will provide spiritual and religious books to the Orthodox Community in USA. The organization makes it easier for parishioners, church bookstores as well as those who don’t have access to such resources to get the spiritual food necessary to feed their needs.  The books will follow to one of the categories: Bibles and Bible commentary; Church and Liturgical; Marriage and Family life mission, Orthodoxy and Apologetics; and others.


Church Seminars

An organization, located in NC is dedicated to empowering church leaders and equipping Christ Followers through training, coaching and preaching. During the year, the organization will organize 3 seminars: MaxNet, Personalizing Your Journey Seminar and Global Focus Seminar. The seminars’ overall goal is to promote personal and local involvement in outreach services.

 

 


Uganda Food For Orphans

There are many kids in Uganda (both girls and boys) who are lacking basic items of necessity such as food and clothing.  
This organization supports kids in orphanages in Uganda. Board members will typically make annual trips to the region and meet with local volunteers to ensure that programs are operating as expected.


Support to Marine Veterans

Comments:

A Georgia nonprofit organization will assist disabled marine veterans and their families of the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion. The organization will provide financial assistance to the families when needed. The program will be publicized through medical facilities, veterans’ centers, community organizations and churches.


Meditation Classes

Comments:

The organization will promote spirituality through relaxation. The individuals will be taught various meditation techniques, how to develop the mental process for meditating, and conveyed how the mind works. The classes will be held 4 times a week and the program will take place in Boone, NC.


Services for the Elderly

Comments:
This organization provides support to the seniors.  The organization provides breakfast, lunch and meals for holidays.  The organization also provides social activities for seniors, including bingo and other social activities.
The organization sponsors health and safety fairs for seniors, providing free medical exams.  Informing seniors of safety tips offered by police and fire departments are also included in the senior events.


Historical Genealogy Society

This organizatin works with individuals and libraries, assisting individuals in genealogical research on family history.  The organization provides volunteers to assist one in studying his or her family tree and family heritage.
The organization also publishes books and printed material on researching one's family heritage.
